[BOULDER, CO] – The Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP) proudly announces the appointment of Devra Wang as the newest member of its Board of Directors. Ms. Wang, a seasoned nonprofit and philanthropic consultant based in the Bay Area, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to SWEEP, having dedicated her career to advancing climate and clean energy policies.
Elise Jones, Executive Director of SWEEP, expressed her enthusiasm about Ms. Wang joining the Board, stating, “SWEEP is honored to welcome Devra to our Board. Her strategic thinking, policy acumen, and decades of work in the climate and clean energy sector will be instrumental in helping advance our mission to promote energy efficiency and equity across the Southwest.”
Devra has an extensive background in developing and supporting initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) pollution and energy waste, and to accelerate renewable energy deployment. She has served as the Climate & Clean Energy Director at the Heising-Simons Foundation, a Program Director at the Energy Foundation, and directed the California Energy Program at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where she helped secure groundbreaking policies such as California’s statewide GHG emissions limit and utility energy efficiency commitments. Now, as a nonprofit and philanthropic consultant, Ms. Wang helps clients develop impactful strategies to achieve their climate and clean energy goals.
SWEEP’s Board Chair Sue Reilly added, “Devra’s expertise and commitment to driving positive change in the energy sector make her an invaluable addition to SWEEP’s board.
